it would be nice to add NR and WB to the adjustment brush, better colour profiles, improved masking capabilities like in Capture One 6 and Bibble 5. Beta soon, final once new cameras a released.Īh, let's hope they keep improving.

There was no issue upgrading it to Lightroom 3, just purchased the upgrade and installed it. I bought Lightroom 2 for my son when he was taking photography in high school. It's an Adobe sale, as I even got the offer down under, straight from Adobe. It's currently over $200 on Amazon so it seems like a good deal fpr someone looking to purchase right now.

Just in case this is of interest to anyone here…I received this email from B&H for LightRoom 3 ($149 full edition) valid 'til noon tomorrow. Hopefully, I will not need any new 'gear' until LR5 is out. However, I am trying hard to resist any urge to upgrade any cameras/lenses as my current setup full-fills my needs (professionally & personally) for now, and I see no reason to cut into profits on the shear 'emotion' of new equipment. Very true.we all know by now the modus operandi of Adobe to get people to upgrade. until your raw files stop being supported in LR3, and the hassle with DNG will be too great. Well, LR3/3.5 is pretty amazing as it is, so unless LR-4 (whenever it actually is released) is quantifiably better, I think I'll pass on #4. Version 3.5 is an update NOT an upgrade…hence it is free to just go online and get the 3.5 update after you install & register 3.0. So? You can download the free upgrade to 3.5. I thought LR was on 3.5 but I'm not seeing a reference at the Adobe site.
